Our firm
Established in 1999, Shackleton Stott Limited is a full-service accounting firm based in Altrincham, we work alongside our clients providing insightful advice to support informed, financial decisions.
We use the latest technology and conduct many meetings using web conferencing, this has become the standard for many clients since the outbreak of Covid-19.
We will support your use of on-line software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage and FreeAgent and we will run your payroll. Using this software safeguards your compliance with HMRC’s Making Tax Digital and will save you time and money giving a real-time view of where your business stands.
Our clients are mostly small businesses new and old as well as seasoned entrepreneurs, historically they locate around Greater Manchester, Stockport, Cheshire and Lancashire, but technology of course has no boundaries.

Gena started her career in 1981 at a major international firm of accountants in the centre of Manchester. In 1988 she moved to a large independent practice in Chorley, where in 1997 she became a director, and during this time spent a year working for a firm in Hong Kong to gain further experience. In 1999 she opened her own practice in Altrincham and over the years has grown organically, providing a highly individual range of services to small and medium sized businesses and self-starters.
Gena's greatest assets include a strong blessing of common sense and straight forward talking. She will take time to understand you and your business enabling you to communicate easily in plain language, working together to move your business forward. Gena is skilled in raising finance for SMEs including the preparation of business plans and strategy.
